CONTROL UNIT FOR FUEL VISCOSITY ALFA LAVAL EPC50

One of the elements that affect the proper operation of the main engines of ships are the parameters of the fuel. Purified heavy fuel - due to its high viscosity at low temperatures - must be pre-heated to decrease the viscosity.

Alfa Laval EPC50 is a system control unit dedicated for viscosity of heavy fuel oil installation. It provides:

  • signal processing of the fuel viscosity at a given time, and based on that
  • appropriate control of the heating system, to get the optimum value.
